.... But first I’ll spend a week in Detroit. Leaving in 2 hours. Then I’ll fly back from there to Montreal where I’ll be able to see how my favorite potholes are doing :)

It’s been 2 years since I left Montreal and I’m truly stocked to get back there! No Corvette for me this time though :(

Montreal’s potholes for your time.

As someone who lives in Ontario and visited Quebec on several occasions I can always tell when I crossed provincial border by the amount of potholes that suddenly appear out of nowhere on 401.

Those aren’t potholes. Those are ponds. That looks terrifying.

OMG!! California freeways are terrible, but are butter smooth compared to that.

Wow, I thought Maine roads were bad.

I used to live in San Francisco, which is arguably the worst big city in CA when it comes to road condition and trust me, it doesn’t come anywhere near the state of roads in QC :)

Even NYC is good compared to QC :)

Detroit will ease you into dodging potholes.

And by “ease” I mean you’ll hit them everywhere.

I don’t understand. You said you’ll be flying to the greatest country on earth, but Motreal isn’t in Iran.

the Unlimited Hydroplane races are on the Detroit river this weekend, if you’re looking for something to do. I’ll be down there Saturday and Sunday.

You got me, 3rd greatest actually, since you capitalist pigs don’t appreciate the greatness of the DPRK either.

I’ll try but I’m already going to the Pure 400 race so it might be too much vroom-vroom stuff for my wife and her sister :)

Eh, Iran is the most stable country in the Middle East right now.

I’ve been going since I was like 6 years old. which would make 33 years now.

Being the most stable country in the Middle East is like being the funniest Dane Cook album. Yeah but no.

It’s actually pretty important since the entire region is pretty much going to collapse into the center in the next 10 or 20 years. Even Israel is going to look to Iran when that happens.

I suspect some Mazda 3 have returned to the Earth, too. Rustiest W126 I have ever seen came from eastern Canada - cool place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to winter there.

Well, those are way worse than our Detroit potholes. If you need some ideas on what to do or where to eat / drink let me know. Tons of great places downtown and around the area.

I suppose those cars have enough exterior plastic to keep a shell together while the underside dissolves. If you aren’t going to keep it forever, why not.

Yup, LA and SF have nothing on that. Even our dirt roads are nicer than that.
